I remember a question similar to this and of course my basis for drafting the question. The Q and A in the Mr. and Ms. Medicine in 2009.
As a doctor, you would be sent to Maguindanao, how would you comfort the families of the victims of the Maguindanao Massacre?
The question was quite difficult. And I am expecting so much from the contestants knowing that they are would-be doctors.
The winning answer was quite simple and straight. The contestant who won the pageant answered that she cannot completely and surely cure or heal the pain felt by the families of the Maguindanao massacre. All she can do is to give them a big hug and pray for them because only Jesus Christ can wholly unburden or unload the heavy heart they have.
So true. Only prayers can move mountains. More than the reliefs that satisfy the physical needs of the Sendong victims, prayers will be of great help.
